Instructions for Football Program Ads & Band Sponsorships

 

How it Works:

Football Program Ads and Band Sponsorships are the Band's largest fundraiser for the year. Monies collected help to offset the many costs of running our Band program. Ad sales also help students earn money for their Band “Fair Share” accounts. Every year several students will meet their “Fair Share” by selling Football Program ads.  For each ad or sponsorship sold, 50% of the associated Football Program ad cost is credited to the student's band account. (Band Patron and Band Family Patron donations do not apply to  "Fair Share" accounts, they are straight donations to the Band.)

 

Important Football Program Dates:

Ads and artwork can be submitted anytime throughout the summer. Please submit ads as contracts are completed - do not hold them until August Band Camp.

 

Ads and artwork must be submitted no later than Friday, August 6th, 2010.  No ad  will be accepted after this date, no exceptions!

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Blank Ad Contracts:

Fill out all areas of the contract that pertain to your customer. Please write neatly and legibly. Be sure to include contact information for your customer so that we can contact them in the event of a question. The ad contract is in duplicate. Give the top (white copy) to your customer, turn in the yellow copy with money and artwork to:

Ad Specification sheet and Artwork Submission:

The Ad Specification sheet should be shown to your customer so they know ad sizes and format options. Ads must be submitted Copy Ready (with no hand corrections or markings). They can be emailed directly to the printer in .pdf format or submitted on CD-ROM.  Our printer will charge businesses for ads that need to be changed or reformatted.  

 

Appreciation Window Decal:

Give this to your customer when you finalize the ad sale. Ask that they display it as recognition of their support of the AK Band, and so that other band members know they have already committed to an ad.

 

Checklist: Your Ad Sale is Complete when:

¨  The contract is filled out completely and signed by the customer.

¨  Payment for the ad is received by you. Checks payable to: AKHS Band Boosters.

¨  Ad copy or Artwork has either been given to you or forwarded to our printer.

Previously Sold Ads

Students who sold ads last year have until June 18th to contact and resell to those businesses. Beginning June 19, 2010,  any previous ads that are not secured by the person who sold them last year are fair game for any band member to solicit. If you sell an ad to a business listed on the sheet in your packet before June 18th the credit for the sale will go to the student that sold it last year.

 

REMINDER: Deadline for Ad Submissions is Friday, August 6th.

Florida Citrus Sale Fundraiser

 Ardrey Kell Band Citrus Sale

Sell Dates: September 21st, 2009 – October 21st, 2009. 


 The Ardrey Kell High School Band invites you to help the AKHS Band Program by purchasing Florida Indian River Citrus Fruits. We will be selling Navel Oranges, Juice Oranges, Grapefruit, and Tangelos all shipped directly from the Florida Indian River Groves in Vero Beach, FL. These delicious fruits are offered in 2 size options ($25 small bag / $35 large bag).  We will also be offering mixed cartons of both Oranges and Grapefruits in 2 size options ($30 small carton / $40 large carton).

Your purchase of these delicious Citrus products helps provide AKHS Band Program students opportunities such as purchase and repair of instruments, purchase of musical selections, participation and travel to competitions and festival performances. These activities promote individual and group growth -- musically, intellectually and personal growth as responsible citizens.

Citrus fruit orders can be placed with any current AKHS Band and/or Guard member. Ardrey Kell Band and Guard members can pick up their order forms from the Band room. All orders must be turned in by October 22nd and 25% of what the students sell goes into their Band account!
