Dear Director of Bands,
You are cordially invited to participate in our 3rd annual Mighty Knight Invitational. This event will take place on Saturday, October 29, 2011 in the brand new synthetic turf field stadium on the campus of Ardrey Kell High School. Ardrey Kell HS is conveniently located in Southern Charlotte, just minutes away from I-485, I-85, and I-77.
This will be our 4th year running a show at Ardrey Kell, and we have quickly established our show as a highly professionally run event. We have hosted many bands over the first two years and the show has been a great success!!!
The Mighty Knight Invitational will be an early day show finishing somewhere around 4:00pm, so bands will be able to “double-up” and attend an evening show as well if they so wish.
This year, we will be a NCBA state sanctioned show and will use the state sheets. I personally hand pick each adjudicator and I am confident that they will provide valuable comments for both you and your students, as they possess many years of adjudicator experience in numerous states including FL, GA, NC, and SC. We will also hold a post-competition critique where you and your staff can meet with the judges and discuss their reactions to your performance in person.

ADJUDICATION CAPTIONS
We are now a NCBA state sanctioned show and will be using the State sheets for GE Music (x2), GE Visual, Ensemble Music, Ensemble Visual, and Individual Music. We will also use sheets for Percussion, Auxiliary, and Drum Major that closely follow both the NCBA and BOA sheets.

The deadline for registration is October 14th. A package of additional info containing rules, directions, performance times, and a Band Bio request for our program will be sent out after we receive your registration info.

CLASSIFICATIONS
(The total number of winds will determine each bands classification - these numbers may be adjusted)
Class A 1 to 39 winds
Class 2A 40 to 59 winds
Class 3A 60 to 79 winds
Class 4A 80 + winds
Evaluation Division - open to all bands - Overall Ratings only

Overall "Superior Rating” Trophy to be presented to bands receiving a Superior rating

1st and 2nd Place In Class Trophy to be presented in each class for: Music, Visual, General Effect, Percussion, Auxiliary, and Drum Majors

1A-2A & 3A-4A Grand Champion Trophy presented to the highest scoring band in these classes
